Have an online class this term?

The Spring 2014 semester is finally here!

For all your residential classes, textbooks will be handed out in-person on the first day of class. This is an exciting new change!

If you are enrolled on-campus but taking an online class, you can also pick up your books on campus!

Ø  Bonita Springs campus: Monday, March 31, 12:00 noon to 7:00 PM. At front desk.

Ø  Port Charlotte,  Fort Myers, or Tampa campuses: Stop by the LRC during normal hours of operation!

Another donation to help Wounded Warrior Project!

Our ongoing book donation project is getting some help from the Friends of the Jimmie B. Keel Library. The Tampa, Port Charlotte, and Fort Myers campuses accept donated books and send them to the online re-seller, Better World Books. 100% of our portion of sales benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Friends of the Keel library donated several boxes this past weekend, and will keep supplying us with more in the future! Thank you, from all of us at Southwest Florida College, for this support. Ask-A-Librarian

Do you need help researching for a paper, brainstorming a topic, or formatting your citations?

Don't forget about the free reference service, Ask-A-Librarian! It provides you, as a Florida resident, online assistance.

Log on anytime between 10am-midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 10am-5pm Friday or Saturday. Staff from more than 100 libraries around the state volunteer time each week to participate - including a few librarians from our college!

A librarian will be happy to help you with your question.

A few things to remember this week:
- If you need to return a textbook or think you're missing one for a class, stop by your LRC. We will be able to help.
- For questions about your student portal (used for financial aid or to check your schedule), read this guide
- Your student email is accessible here, and your username should be your firstname.lastname and your password is "swfc + last four of your SSN"
- Log in to your online class through SWFC Training. You can also find a lot of helpful handouts and links on this page
